East Wing - Sleeps 6

East Wing is a very spacious fascinating 3-storey apartment overlooking the rose garden on one side and the main courtyard on the other. The original 16th century stone spiral staircase connects what were the Housekeeper's Rooms on the ground floor with the Nursery Wing on the first floor and the maids' bedroom on the top floor. The beamed sitting room with log fire (free coal and logs) still has the old linen cupboards along the length of one wall. Original Tudor panelling remains in the double bedroom on the first floor and the second floor bedroom has breathtaking views to the hills.

Because of the staircase, this apartment is not suitable for those with mobility problems and small children must be carefully supervised.

East Wing has colour TV, electric cooker, automatic washing machine/tumble dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, hairdryer & radio. Duvets & full bed linen is provided. Cot and high chair by arrangement. Please bring own linen for cot. T-towels provided. Towels available for hire. Electricity and gas central heating by meter reading. Ample safe car parking, garage available on request. Payphone. Babysitting by arrangement. One dog accepted by arrangement.
