3D Swirling Cubes.
This was a 16-bit screen-saver but it's just recently
been hurredly ported to 32-bit. Consequently it's
extremely dodgy. Still, it kind of shows you how to do
a Win32 screen-saver and contains the code for a really
rubbish 3D polygon engine.
In the Zip file is the screen-saver itself (3dsave.scr), save this
to your Windows directory along with the data file (Cube.dat). Also
in this Zip are the source files you'll need. Tinker around with it
if you like. You'll only make it better. One of the easiest changes
you can make is to alter the data file which describes the 3D object.
It's not gonna be exactly rocket science to figure out the format. As
if you can be bothered.
