It is with deep regreat that I send you this mail,
just hearing the sad news of Adam's passing.
I met Adam when he did a signing of his book at Harrod's. A very nice
person - he also signed some albums.
A good singer - I remember "What Do You Want" first time around. I'm
55.
Very Best Wishes to his family.
Thank you for everything Adam Faith.

Have just heard the terrible news. I too
have been a fan since the early days.
I met him a few years ago when he was in "Alfie" ,and I have a photo
of us together
that hangs on my dining room wall. I will treasure it always.
Regards,
Iris Lay.

Sad News. Will be missed.

I'm sure I'm not the first to contact you about
the sad news of Adam Faith's death from a heart
attack in the early hours of this morning. BBC News 24 ran an item on it,
together with a telephone
interview with his agent, at about 11.15am today.
The first big live concert I attended featured Adam and the John Barry 7 at
Newcastle City Hall in
the early sixties. It inspired me to pursue live music myself, an addiction that
continues to this day.
I also appreciated his acting ability from the time of "Beat Girl" and
particularly "Stardust",in which
he played the strongest role by far.
I realise yours is not an "official" web site, but would like to
express my condolences to Adam's
family and friends, and to thank you for your regular and informative news
updates. Britain's
pre-Breatles rock'n'roll history is becoming increasingly recognised as
important, and your web site
makes a strong contribution to this. I hope it continues.
Best wishes,
Martin Craig
Your site is lovely. I was so sad to hear
the dreadful news that Adam passed away
yesterday aged just 62. I am only 30 years old but my Mum who has just
turned 60
will be deeply upset.
My condolences to you,
Alexandra Soden

Thank you for this website and sincere condolences to Adam Faith's family.

I just wanted to let you know how so
sad we were to hear of Adams death and to say that we are devastated.
I only met him once in the South of France
when he was on holiday with his wife and daughter.
I was Chauffeuring in Juan Le Ponns, when Adam
walked across the street to look in a shop window.
A very young newly-wed couple saw him and got very excited and turned to me
and said "that's Adam Faith".
I was stood by the car in full Chauffeurs uniform
hat cockade and all sweating in very high temperatures.
The young couple said "please will you ask Adam if we can speak to
him"? being a Dudley lad, I just said
"Adam, this young couple want to say hello" He turned spoke to
them, and invited them across the road to
a cafe with chairs outside. His wife and daughter were sitting there,
well! I would give anything for you to
have seen the look on the young couples face - they were gob smacked.
Adam then walked back across the road and invited
me to sit with them for a coffee.
The young couple had there pictures taken with Adam and his family.
I had to leave within a short time because my people had returned to
the car.
I never told anyone back home in England because
they would not have believed it.
I found Adam Faith to be one of life's Gentlemen and feel very privileged to
have met him.
Very Best Regards,
Derek Hatfield

I
was very sad to read the news of Adam's death. I remember him from his
early days as a singer,
I was growing up with the music of the sixties and he was one of my
favourites.
I have lived in Australia for quite sometime now but have watched many of his TV
shows that have
been shown here, he was just so versatile. From
everything I have read or seen he was a very nice
person, we will all miss him.

The First time I met Adam was in
Bridlington. He was just about to release THE FIRST TIME and
appeared with the Roulettes. I met him again outside Cambridge theatre in
late 80`s after a
Budgie The musical performance - a lovely man and someone who I admired since I
was 14
(I am 55 now) he has been a major inspiration to me in my life
and music. I will miss a really
nice guy and a great entertainer.I will keep all his records and my Budgie
videos for ever.
He kindly signed a Budgie picture for me after the show. He is a
tremendous loss to us all.
My most sincere sympathy to his
family.

I am so sad to hear of Adam's
passing. I first heard of him in early 1965 when It's Alright became a
hit
here in Canada. I've followed his career since then and always enjoyed his
records and seeing him in films.
I was looking forward to a musical comeback.
My thoughts and prayers are with his
wife and daughter.

What terribly sad news about Adam. I
heard this news on Saturday morning in a very odd way. I had just bought off a
seller on eBay a 1962 set of eight Front-of-House cinema stills of Adam in Mix
Me a Person, a film I ran during my time as a cinema projectionist forty
years ago. On Saturday, March 8th, the seller in Essex emailed me to ask if I
had heard the sad news about Adam, who had died only half a mile from where I
live. He also said that by a strange coincidence, he was on his way to the Post
Office to post to me the package containing Adam's Mix Me a Person stills,
when he stopped off in a shop. The radio was on in the shop and the first thing
he heard from the radio as he entered the shop was that Adam Faith had suffered
a fatal heart attack in the early hours of the morning in Stoke-on-Trent. What
an odd coincidence. It gave him quite a shock!
I am 56, now, so I remember all Adam's hit records when they were new and all
his films. I never met him, but I never met anyone who had anything but praise
for him, nor anyone who had an unkind word to say about him. It's a terrible
shame and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him and by
all his many fans, of whom I count myself as one.
Yours Sincerely,
David Rayner.(in Stoke-on-Trent)
First well done with the website! I showed it to Adam about 6 months ago. Here is my tribute:-
Well I can honestly say that Adam is the only man in the world that I've ever let call me 'darling' or 'sweetheart'. I last spoke to him on Wednesday afternoon and was due to see him again in a couple of weeks. He sounded fantastic as usual. We first met when he agreed to be guest opener at a summer launch party for one of my clients, the renowned modern artist Marcus Levey. Adam had known Marcus for many years as he used to perform as a singer at Marcus's casino nightclub 'La Dolce Vita' in Newcastle. Quite honestly I can't believe he's gone - he was an absolutely unique superstar and one of the greatest guys I have ever known. I know how privileged I am to have known him personally. My heart goes out to Jackie and Katya (who he was so very proud of).
Love always,
Richard Conway, Leeds, England.
So sorry to hear of Adam's death
today. I have often seen him sitting outside the cafe in Westerham
where l believe he used to have his breakfast etc, and pass the time of day with
his friends.
He will be greatly missed.
Sincerely,
DORIS
I was sorry to hear the sad news about Adam on the news this afternoon. It is always sad to hear of such artists who contributed such a lot to our music of the 60's, and in Adam's case he obviously contributed a whole lot more. I feel sure you will receive many kind wishes from those who enjoyed his music, and as I collected records from a very early age, I am the proud owner of some of Adam's 45 singles, in my vast record collection.
To cut the story short about myself, many of my friends and I attended the Blind school in Edinburgh, and many of us bought a great deal of music when back in the 60's and early 70's in my own case. I am uncertain as to who will be reading this email, but would be grateful if you could pass on my best wishes to his family if this is at all possible.
Thank you once again.

I wanted to write something but not sure where to send it. I was a big fan - one of the original fan club members invited to his 21st birthday party in Tottenham Court Road (the Empire Rooms I think if I remember rightly). It was a great evening with the highlight for everyone being when he shook hands with us individually - a lot of hands to shake I can tell you! He was fun, and refreshing with such a different sound. I cannot truthfully say I have followed his career in detail ever since those years (early sixties) but I always enjoyed his appearances on tv etc whenever I did see him, and did buy a very entertaining album of his in the late 70s. I have fond memories of him as an entertainer.
God bless him and comfort his family.

I have no other place to send my Sympathies regarding the death of Adam Faith, so I send this to you in the hope that someday, along with all the other messages of condolence that you will receive, the family will know how loved Adam was all over the world.
I grew up in Scotland and knew Adam as a Pop Star and Movie Actor. Of course, I loved "Budgie", when he moved into television. Since moving to California, I have had the pleasure of watching him on BBC America and I hope that his recent TV sitcom, "The House that Jack Built" makes it over here. He will obviously live on and still bring many moments of pleasure, drama and laughter to his fans around the world.
I am so pleased to hear that his real life personality is just as I perceived him, that of course must make his loss even worse for his family and friends. Anyway, I was sorry to read the sad news this morning and my heart felt sympathies goes out to his family and friends.
Sincerely,
Robert. (California)
"Got a heartsick feeling",
"Ah, poor little baby", "Country music holiday" all bombed
and
then bingo! "What do you want?" I have every single and every LP Adam
made bar that
very first "Got a heartsick feeling/Brother heartache and sister
tears". Even an acetate
of the never released "What a whopper" to accompany film of same
title.
My video collections include every "Budgie" episode which was
originally screened in
b/w before the change over to colour and "Love Hurts".
I guess it's time to close the
covers of my scrapbook collections. But at least like many
other fans, I met and have a photo with Adam during the "Alfie" tour.
Adam was never nostalgic about his old records but we'll never stop playing
them
because they will always be magic to my generation. You'll always be with us!

I remember Adam appearing in a play
in Aberdeen. Mid play the stage lights
failed and Adam called for the house lights and stood at the front of the
stage and chatted to the audience for about 15 minutes till the power was
restored, the ease with which he did this so impressed me. Something I will
never forget.

Yes, goodbye to a wonderful guy. In the
sixties he's photo's were plastered all around my bedroom.
My mother used to go mad. May you keep singing in heaven.

Just felt I needed to drop you a line about the sad passing of Adam. I've followed his careers since 1959 and have always admired his qualities as a fighter and never knowing when he was beaten. It seems so strange to realise he's finally lost one battle that he cannot recover from.
He brought enjoyment to many people during the last 40 plus years. I am the "fan" in this house but his records have been played so much that my wife is word perfect on all his songs. We listen to "Sounds of the Sixties" each Saturday morning on Radio 2 where there is a feature called "My First Record". At about 9.30 last Saturday morning my wife asked me what year "What Do You Want" had been released because that was her first record. Then half an hour later we heard on the news that he had died. It was a shock to both of us and we both feel as though we have lost a member of the family.
I don't know how much of a fan you are but I assume you must be one to have produced such an excellent web site about him. I am sure many more people will join me in offering our thanks to you for the work you have put in on it. I am only sorry that there will be no more "Breaking News". When I wrote to you earlier in the year with the dates and venues for the play I was hoping it would be coming to our area - I never thought it would end like this and so soon.
I have added my own small tribute to my own site and added a link to yours. I am only sorry it could not have been at a happier
Regards,
Garth.

Hi,
I was really saddened to hear of Adam's death last week. I was a big
fan of his in the early sixties.
I was lucky enough to meet him several
times. He always had time for his fans.
I still have all of his early
records. I also loved his television series, "Love Hurts".
I actually saw an
item about him on the TV news the night before he died.
It was about the
play he was doing and I was going to go and see it.
I'm so glad he
was a part of my life. I will miss him.

I am deeply shocked and saddened by Adam's death. I am a huge fan of his.
I had the pleasure of meeting him in Sunderland while he was
touring with A Chorus Line,
he was a lovely person he chatted as if he had
known me for years.
The world is a sad place without him, but his music will
always keep me smiling.
My thoughts are with Adam's family.
I like your site
A Dobson
I grew up listening to
him on Radio Luxembourg, Six Five Special etc. He was part of my life since the
early sixties.
I was looking forward to seeing his latest play, as I had
seen most of his other performances and was a great fan.
I had recently
purchased his albums on CD and films on DVD.
So his passing whilst I was
on holiday in the USA was a sad loss. I would like to pass on my
condolences to
Jackie and Katya. It would be good to see a re-run of one of his performances
again as a tribute to him.

I've just found your website and would like to add
my condolences, albeit a bit late.
I have also been a huge fan of Adam, he was
my 'Pop Idol' and I remember my cousin
met him and got a signed photo for me,
that took pride of place on my bedroom wall and
I used to kiss him goodnight every night. I was devastated to learn of his death, particularly as
he died on my
34th wedding anniversary. Coincidentially my husband's name is Terry too and
he
is a bus driver, which I believe Adam's Dad was too so I even felt we had
something in common.
Rest in peace Adam. As well as a brilliant singer and actor
you were a gentleman
and I felt as though I knew you in my heart.
'This is It'
Love, Pat from Bromley
