SDMCC logo Letter 14

Greetings! Welcome to the latest installment of the never-ending tale of love, destruction and potential prosecution that is Super Drooper! Please, come on inside...

Bethesda, North Wales, 27-29 September (i.e. next weekend loike!)

A hut trip this one, staying at Coetmor Mill near Bethesda. The hut sounds pretty well equipped with everything except for plates, knifes and forks, so bring your own eating gear. There should plenty of space, so bring yer mates!

To get there: Head up to Bethesda on the A5. Once in Bethesda, drive along the High Street past all the pubs and shops. If your pass a Spar / 7-11 type supermarket on your right then you are going the right way. Once you are through the village, the turning for the mill is the first or second on the left. If all else fails, ask for directions from someone in the local pub! As far as I can tell from the descriptions and so on, the grid reference of the hut is 611678 on the yellow no. 17 map.

If you get there before me (which is really quite possible), head for the nearest pub - I'll be there before eleven with the key to get into the hut!

October Trip

We haven't (yet) been able to get a hut for October, but instead, Caroline is having a thing in Cirencester. Plan is to camp on her lawn, go to see an excellent Jazz and Blues band on Saturday night and then maybe do some aimless wandering on Sunday. For more details, ring Caroline on (01705) 293541.

Eastern Promise

Roy is having a humungo-party at his house in Norwich the first weekend in December, all SDMCC-type people invited. For more info contact the Roystar hotline direct on (01603) 457260. Calls cost 39p/min cheap rate, 49p/min other times.

Early Warning

Dunmail Rise, Lake District, December 13-15 You've been waiting all year for it, it's the ace Christmas Party Fancy Dress Extravaganza Piss Up Trip! Put it in your diaries now! There is even an ugly rumour that MJ might do an X-Files type reappearance from the dead for this one...

Fell and Cave is Back

Fell and Cave (the UEA club that originally started off the wildly-out-of-hand thing that is now Super Droopers) is now back up and running and has this to say:

Greetings from the wastelands of Norfolk. Former FACCers will just lurve to know that FACC is up-and FACCing again after a sabbatical last year. No caving for the moment (boo), but at least we're walking and worrying sheep again. I am in the process of a severe overhaul of FACC's WWW pages, and intend to include a page linking ex-FACCers whether internet nerds or not. If ex-FACCers wanna be on the list, please let me have the following;

One line as to your job (if you're lucky) and location. Address (if you like junk mail), URL of home page (if you have one) and email address (if you have one).

The FACC home page is at;

<http://www.uea.ac.uk/menu/student_union/sports/fell_and_cave/facc.htm>

and you can get to the ex-FACCers through that. It should be up and surfable by end

of September.

And Finally...

Loads of people have asked whether they could have a list of addresses of all the SDMCC members. It would be fairly cool to do this with the next newsletter, so if anyone doesn't want their name, address and phone number to be on the list, please can they contact me ASAP? Also, if there's anyone who has e-mail and isn't on the e-mail list, let me know!

Lurve,

Steve.
