Welcome to the latest installment in the lifestyle choice that is Super Droopers!

If you missed either of the last two trips, Bryn Hafod was its normal gorgeous self, full of mountains, sheepies and Dr Mike and Mad Jenny doing obscene things with their underwear and several pints of beer. The annual face-diving and ski-burying expedition to Norway was another superb trip, packed with collapsing tents, sliding cars, bingo winnings and far too much snow. For more information, see the feature-length article!

Anyway, enough of all that and on to future attractions, showing now or coming soon at a campsite near you...

2-5 May - The Bank Holiday expedition to Loch Tay, Scotland

Camping again at Cruachan Campsite, grid ref. 613359 on the Loch Tay map (pink one no. 51). To get there... From the west, A84 through Callander, past Loch Earn and up to the A85 towards Fort William. Turn right off the A85 onto the A827 towards Killin, go though Killin and the campsite is 4 miles east of Killin on the right. From the east take the A9 towards Loch Tay, turn left onto the A827 at Aberfeldy and the campsite is on the left 4 miles before Killin. When you get into the campsite, go all the way through and we'll be camping on the top of the hill on the far side.

23-26 May - The Other Bank Holiday Surf Safari to Bude, Cornwall

Another chance to wax up your surfboards, dig out your wetsuit and splutter fitfully among the waves of the North Cornish coast. We'll be staying in the scout hut as we did last time and there's plenty of room, so kidnap yer mates and drag them along! There's also space to camp if people want to bring tents. Don't forget your woggles.

To get there, you should follow this cunning map, though you don't have to:

Other trips, planned, unplanned and just plain disorganised

25-27 July - Camping in Capel Curig, North Wales

21-23 November - Hut trip to Coetmor Mill, North Wales

12-14 December - Mega Christmas Party drinking binge trip to Gradbach, Peak District

Now That's What I Call Bollocks

You've been wanting for it for so long and now it's here, the Super Drooper album "Now That's What I Call Bollocks", lovingly arranged by Mr Bob Squatter. If you want a copy, please send a C90 tape and an SAE to Bob at 59 Miranda Rd, London, N19 3RA. Don't fight it, you know you want it!

End of season sale

Due to unprecedented demand, Super Drooper T-shirts will be on sale in Bude and Loch Tay at the new reduced price of £5. Makes the perfect election present, car-cleaning rag, Albanian surrendering flag (poles not included, cheques not accepted, Romanians ignored), etc, etc. 1997-99 designs now wanted.

Christy Moore

Christy Moore, mega folk guitarist and well known impersonator of Paul Mason is playing a gig in Birmingham on the evening of 23 May. Since this is the evening before the Bude trip, Dr Mike came up with the cunning idea of going to the gig and then driving to Bude (there will be two cars going so we'll be able to give some people lifts). If anyone's interested, contact Mike. Tickets will be around £15.
