Te Rua Toka is a completely modernised "A" frame house with
a fantastic beachfront location in the popular village of Arorangi just
3 miles from the airport. 30 paces through the sandy tropical garden
littered with hibiscus, brings us to the deserted white sand beach with
the South Pacific waves breaking on the reef close by.

Lounge on your own high deck which is half roofed over to provide some shade and enjoy the view of the reef through the palm fronds.
The deck is accessed via twin wide glazed double doors giving a panoramic view from the spacious sitting area. (an area can be curtained off for privacy when used as an overspill bedroom). Equipped with TV and radio and ceiling fan the light and airy tiled room is cool to relax in.
A small step up leads to a dining area with two tables and four chairs. The open plan kitchen is brand new containing a gas cooker, two refrigerators, one small freezer and the custom made cabinets contain new saucepans, toaster, sandwich maker etc. A sink with stainless steel double top is featured and of course there is hot and cold running water. A downstairs toilet, wash basin and shower complete the house accommodation although a utility room beyond the kitchen is fully enclosed and has a washing machine and space for drying clothes. An outside cold water shower completes the ground floor. Upstairs, a single bedroom is equipped with a queen sized double bed; also a single bed both with new interior sprung quality mattresses. There is cupboard space and a separate small wash hand basin and toilet area. Four windows give good ventilation and a standing oscillating fan gives additional draft. Despite its secluded location the Edgewater Hotel, within 5 minutes walk, provides all the usual facilities and has a good value restaurant (Spaghetti House). Within ten minutes walk there are five of the islands top restaurants including Chinese, while the main town of Avarua is 5 miles away and easily reached by the island bus which runs every hour. The house enjoys long days as it is on the sunset (west) side of the island where it tends also to have a drier climate.
