dean collinson

A lot of you will be familiar with Dean Collinson, he was a popular member of Michael's backing group until he left to take up his first West-End starring role as 'Amos' in 'Whistle Down The Wind'.  He has made the occasional appearance since, backing Michael when his schedule permits and I am sure that we will see him again soon, back on stage with Michael.

STAGEOGRAPHY:  Dean has appeared in many musicals such as 'Grease', 'Jesus Christ Superstar', 'Hair' and 'A Chorus Line'.  He is currently appearing in the West-End in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Whistle Down The Wind'.

IN CONCERT:  Dean has toured extensively with many artists such as Michael Ball, Paul McCartney and singer Tazmin Archer.

TELEVISION:  Dean has worked with Chris Evans on BSkyB and appeared on many different TV shows in the past few years, 'Wogan', 'Going Live' and 'The Chart Show', to name but a few.

RECORDING WORK:  Dean made the charts with his debut record and also released a solo album entitled, 'Life and Times'.

OTHER INFORMATION:  Dean is a very talented singer/songwriter, has signed two recording contracts and has written his own musical, 'Tomorrow Never Knows', which won a prize at the Vivian Ellis Musical Awards.  Dean wrote the 1993 Eurovision hit 'Better the Devil', which Sonia sung in the Eurovision and came second with, missing out on the top position by just one vote!  He sang this rather memorably at Michael's ROC Concert in November 1998, where Michael took Dean's place in the backing trio!
