Sheena McSween is a popular member of Michael's Group/Backing singers.  As some of you will know she is a lovely person, who always seems to have time for a chat.  She is a talented performer, as those of you who saw Michael on his 1997 UK tour will know, as Shena was then not only Michael's backing singer, but also his guest soloist.

TRAINING:  Shena studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where she gained a professional diploma (honours) and an LRAM.  While at College she performed as Euridice in Orpheus in the Underworld, made her first solo recording of Puccini's Un Bel Di (recorded as a jazz/classical piece) and toured Israel with a ten piece funk band.

STAGEOGRAPHY: Shena has been busy in the musical theatre world since leaving college, to date she has appeared in five musicals:  Carmen Jones, Mama I Want to Sing (where she understudied the lead role), What a Feeling, Hot Stuff (lead role) and recently Little Shop of Horrors.

IN CONCERT: Shena has been over to Scandanavia on several occasions, where she has played a Soul Girl in arena concerts of Jesus Christ Superstar.  Shena has toured extensively with Michael Ball and was his guest soloist on his 1997 UK tour.

TELEVISION: Shena has appeared on TV backing Michael on several occasions, An Evening With Michael Ball and Friends for BBC TV Wales, The National Lottery Show and has backed Michael on different occasions when he has made guest appearances on TV.

RADIO: Shena performed with Michael for BBC Radio 2's Proms in the Park.

RECORDING WORK: Shena has not only had a busy theatrical career but also has had a busy time as a solo recording artist.  Her debut single, More than Woman was followed by a second single Let the Beat Hit Em, which was a top 20 hit.  Shena provided the lead vocals on Arsenal Football Team's single, Hot Stuff.

OTHER INFORMATION: Shena now, after the tour (1999 tour) has finished, goes back to her solo career and is due to record a new single soon.
