About Music & Lights

Music & Lights will bring you the best in disco entertainment, along with good value. It is not just a disco - it is a show. I do not play loud 'thump-thump' music, but music that's taken from the charts of the 1950's through to the present day. This includes your favourite rock-n-roll numbers of the 50's, the music of the 60's, the boogie of the 70's and on and on... And there's party favourites such as Boney M, Village People and Michael Jackson etc. which are also included.

My name is Neil Munday. I am the former secretary of the South Eastern Discotheque Association. This is an association that promotes the professionalism of the mobile discotheque. As a member of this association, the lighting and sound equipment is of an excellent standard and tested to comply with the current electrical regulations. I also carry public liability insurance and have a compliment of trained technicians.

It is always difficult to find something to write about ones self, but here goes! I am a personality D.J. This does not mean that I am a megastar (some wishful thinking involved there!) but an entertainer. This is because rather than just play music and hide behind the equipment, I will venture forward and take the lead in party favourites, such as YMCA and Jingo. My own experience stems back to my school days and has taken me from Hospital Radio to Independent Local Radio and BBC Radio. I have also travelled around the UK commentating with an aerial display team and also at various country and transport fairs. Disco wise, I have entertained at grand functions, from Cafe Royal in London to Harewood House, Leeds and Biggin Hill Airport - have you ever seen 1000 people do YMCA on the sea front in Swanage, Dorset?!

You may be thinking the show is of enormous proportions, but in fact thats' not the case. The equipment is designed to be flexible and can be altered very easily to be fitted into most venues.

If you have any questions or particular requirements that you wish to discuss, please feel free to give me a call. I can cater for: Weddings; Birthdays; Ladies' Nights; Dinner Dances; Conference / Banquette entertainment; Roller Discos; Summer Balls and BBq's. These may be held in village halls, hotels, leisure centres, theatres or marquees.

Music and Lights is also able to provide sound and lighting support for band nights and a public address system for small arenas. This is all equipment taken from stock and can compliment the impressive disco rig. The band lighting rig is made up of a full trilight truss "tabletop" system loaded with parcans and other effects. Lighting is via a programmable lighting desk and dimmers. However a suitable mains power supply is required. Please discuss any requirements as pricing differs from the disco.
