Music & Lights Additional InformationDance and costume sets Music and Lights is a family type show suitable for all ages. The sets used are selected at random to fit an audience response on the dance floor and may vary from show to show depending upon personal health and fitness. It should be noted that on occasion it may be inappropriate to perform the sets and Music and Lights adopt a more formal, traditional DJ-ing approach during the performance. Music policy Music and Lights will provide a good cross section of music from across the eras (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s), coupled with party favourites and current selected items from the chart. Music selection is random and tailored to the audience. However Music and Lights is unable to provide "Club", "Rave" and "Trance". Set up/ Take down Set up and take down time varies between 1 1/2 and 2 1/4 hours depending on access. When a smaller show is specified then the timing is reduced pro rata. Music and Lights would be happy to advise on exact timings nearer to your event. Venue Constraints It is not always possible to put in the whole show into some venues. In this eventuality Music and Lights will endeavour to provide as much technical equipment as is possible if limited by access, time of access, set up time or physical constraints of the building (e.g. ceiling height, room width and or performance area). Some smaller show situations do not make it possible to perform the costume sets. There are also venues known to Music and Lights, which have extremely poor access. Music and Lights will require additional staffing costs to get the equipment in and out and a fee will be charged for this. We will inform you immediately if this is applicable to your venue during the enquiry process. (This includes a venue in Gatwick, Ashdown Forest, Swanley and London that are known to us at the present time). Sound Limiting Devices. The inclusion in a premise of such a device will automatically mean a small show is provided, Comprising of small sound system and a small light show as such devices are prone to nuisance tripping (usually audience orientated (loud singing/clapping/cheering) and not amplified music which can be set to operate within the limitations). This can damage computer controlled lighting and sound equipment. The exception to this rule is when a local agreement is made providing an alternative uninterrupted power supply and an understanding that the volume will be kept in check. Fire Alarms Smoke machines will not be used when a non isolatable zone fire alarm is present in a function room or other area leading away from the function room. A haze machine is generally carried and is used only at the discretion of Music and Lights and/or the premises management. Fire Exits These will never be blocked in any way - Please do not ask me to set up in front of one. Health and Safety Music and Lights carries full Public Liability Insurance.
