Sutton Park Route

Below is a map and description of my route around Sutton park. The route takes in single track, Tracks though woods, Hills, some "play" areas and mettled roads. The Gold dots signify points on the route and the red dots highlight areas of interest.

Sutton park is situated outside of Sutton Coldfield town center, to the north of Birmingham and is easily reached by either car or train.

Enter Sutton Park at Wyndley Gate, cross ford and follow road ahead up hill.

At the top of the Hill turn right. After car park take track downhill on the right.

Turn Left at the end of the track and head uphill towards the Jamborie memorial.

Follow the track straight on through the trees.

After the drop down hill turn left onto a sandy track just before the bridge.

Follow track along to the road and turn left.

At the car park is a drop off / jump area.

Follow road and turn left at junction after car park follow track at

Turn right at end of track. Follow road past Keepers pool.

Drop off and jump. Found in car park.

Turn left and follow road past towards Town gate.

Turn Right after Pub. Follow road. Around to Bracebridge pool.

Small jump / drop off area ideal for new riders to practice on.

At car park follow track down hill, towards Powells pool.

You can ride right around this pool over a track containing numerous bridges although I would only recommend this if the weather is good and the ground has dried out, as it gets really really muddy around this part of the park.

Turn right onto track trough woods.

Turn Left at Keepers pool and follow track to road. There is a gravel pit here with several steep slopes and drop offs, one has about a 3 - 4 ft drop !

Turn left and head uphill to Car Park at Blackroot Pool

At car park turn right and follow road back around to.

After bridge over railway turn right into car park and follow trail through woods to

Large drop off, hill, jump and play area, known as the sandbank.
