Playtime

This page is dedicated to my more fun hobbies of Role-playing, Customisable Card Games, Play by Mail, Free Form Role-playing, and Miniatures.

I have taken part in many RPG (Role Playing Game) campaigns over the years, including the following;

Warhammer,

Cthulhu,

Kult,

Shadowrun,

Traveller,

D & D

I intend to write and run a campaign set in the Twilight 2000 world, of a post nuclear war Europe.

You may also want to visit Paul Radfords page as this is quite a good site for RPG information and links.

Free Form RPG

I first tried Free form RPG a couple of years ago at Euro Gen-Con. Basically it is similar to a normal RPG but there are no stats, paper, pens or dice. It is based more on Role Playing than most "RPG" games.

The Free Form i took part in was run by a company called Epic Experience, and i must say that it was the highlight of that years Euro Gen-Con for me. It was the most fun i have had during role-playing for a long time and i will definitely be taking part in some more of their offerings at Euro Gen-Con. You can visit Epic Experience's web site by following the link below.

PBM

I have been taking part in a play by mail game, run by KJC Games for some time now.

The game is called Monster Island. You play a monster, with several races to choose from, who has been washed ashore on a strange island. There are no set objectives to the game and it is open ended so it lasts as long as you want it to. I have found this game to be very enjoyable and quite rewarding.

I have three monsters. Two of which are members of the Shroudian Group KAOS (Kindred Agents Of Shroud). There is a set of pages dedicated to KAOS and these two monsters, Mouldy Footstool and Toilet Pottymaster below. Once my third and youngest monster Durgle Gromit-Flange joins KAOS then he too will get a page of his own.

Below are a set of links to Monster Island pages including my KAOS Home Page.

CCG's

I have played a few CCG's and collected cards for several. Below is a link to my CCG pages. I would warn anyone that playing CCG's is a very costly exercise./font>

Thankfully the habit has now been well and truly kicked. As i only really have decks for 2 CCG's now and i do not intend to buy any more cards in the future./font>

Although the above sounds negative, if sense prevails and you and your friends don't get carried away with card buying then CCG's are relatively harmless fun.

Full Thrust

I have recently started playing Full Thrust. Full Thrust is a space based miniatures game created by Jon Tuffley.

Full Thrust is published by Ground Zero Games.
