Animated gifs on this web site were animated by gathering together images using the Ulead Systems, Inc. GIF animator. The images themselves were generated using Microsoft Paint, mostly by using and adapting clip art from Microsoft Office. On this page, the two text images within the animated gif were produced by typesetting in Microsoft Office using centreing with an extra line carrying a full stop and then pasting into Microsoft Paint and aligning on predrawn crosswires for the appropriate half of the image space under x8 magnification, that is the full stop on the vertical crosswire and the centre gap between the two middle lines of text on the horizontal crosswire. The crosswires and the full stop were deleted once alignment had been achieved. There are links for both the free version and the UK agent for the full version of the Ulead GIF Animator.
