999 Emergency Services vehicles on display in Evesham, England

During part of the morning of 4 April 2001 I happened to be in Evesham, Worcestershire, England.

Shortly after 11 am I went into the market square and found that there was a display of 999 emergency vehicles being put on by the emergency services of Evesham and Pershore.

Here are two images of the display. Police and ambulance service vehicles are present.

Please note the famous Bell Tower in the background of one of the pictures.

One often sees the Bell Tower on picture postcards and calendars.

Here one sees the Bell Tower as local people often see it, part of the everyday scenery of the town.

Unfortunately there was no fire engine there at the time.

Yet sometimes on sunny summer days one can observe fire engines standing outside the fire station gleaming after having been cleaned.
