This document introduces the file astro001.txt which is a Unicode plain text file.
 
It was saved from the Microsoft WordPad program on a PC running the Windows 98 system.
 
The file can be displayed using any widely available font for most of the text, yet to view the document fully one needs the Quest text font, at least version 1.14, which is available from the following web page.

That is because various symbols are included in the text which are located in the Private Use Area of the Quest text font.  Those symbols are authoring time symbols for viewing in a text editor program for characters which would be interpreted by a Java program designed for the purpose as graphics control characters and so on.  Display at 12 point is recommended.
