Materials Required

White No. 20 and Pink No. 20 thread - Manuela.  Four tatting shuttles, 9 two-hole buttons 1cm in diameter.

NB       On the first row always bring the shuttle and chain UNDER the previous chain before joining the new ring to previous ring.  On the second row, bring the chain OVER the previous one before joining – fig. 3

Instructions

Colour A (white) needs to be wound onto 2 shuttles to be able to form the SCMR. 

First row

Using colour A  on two shuttles make

SCMR  4 – 4 (R 3 – 3 vsp 6 Cl) 4 – 4 Change Wsh

R          4 + (adj p on last R) 4 + (button) 4 – 4

Using colour A

SCMR  4 + (adj p on last R - colour B do not forget to bring the ring up from under colour B chain before joining) 4 (R 4 vsp 4 Cl) 4 – 4   Change to other Wsh

Repeat from * 6 times always remembering to bring the rings up from under the previous chain.  Repeat colour B once more.
