3D Earrings.

Before starting add 30 beads to the shuttle thread and 70 beads to the chain thread.  12 further beads will be needed to add to picots before joins.

When joining rings to the Lp's the joins should be made between two beads.  See fig. 1

First half

For a flat earring.

You will need 18 beads on the shuttle thread, 40 on the chain and 6 further beads for adding to picots.

Work first half of 3D earring but make a long picot (to take several beads + ear finding) instead of the ^ on the chain following R4 (see fig. 1).  After the chain following R6 join to ^ on first chain and tie a knot.  Leave the rest of the beads on the threads and tie a knot to hold them making a 'tail' of beads - see picture..
