Motif # 3 - © Jane Eborall

Motif worked in a no. 20 thread with beads

This group was worked in a no. 80 thread without beads

Now here’s something to play with.  A useful motif which measures 4” in diameter when worked with a no. 20 thread and 2 ¼” in a no. 80.  You can add beads (instructions given) or not.  There are lots of different effects you can achieve by using colours in different places (try using the shoe lace trick too!).  I leave it to your imagination!  Joined together they could easily be the basis for a patchwork tatted project or even as snowflakes if the outside rings (R5) are enlarged slightly.  Wannabe designers - here you are, use your imagination!!
