Originally designed for my friend Connie this little fish was intended as an earring but can be used as 'just a fish'!

 

Skills required:  Knowledge of split rings and down picot with a bead – see abbreviations.

Materials:     3 shuttles – 2 with same colour 1 with contrast. 1 small bead for eye on Sh1.  Earring findings.

22 beads are needed to add to very long picots for each fish.

work 2 first half ds, bead then 2 second half ds and back to pattern – see below and this link.

 

Starting with 2 shuttles with same colour add 1 black bead to Sh1 before starting.  Move bead to back of hand on Sh1 & make

R1:     2 vsp 2 vsp 2 DPB 2

SR2:   4 vsp 4 / 4 vsp 4

SR3:   3 vsp 3 / 3 vsp 3

SR4:   3 Vlp (16 beads) 1 + B’s (last Vlp) 1 Vlp (16 beads) 1 + B’s (last Vlp) 1 / 2 Cl SS Change thread colour on Sh1

 

Outer Body

Ch:     2 Vlp (6 beads) 1 Lj (SR3) 1 + (last Vlp) 5 Lj (SR2) 4 Lj (1st vsp R1) 4 Lj (next vsp R1) – 1 Lj (same vsp) – 10 Vlp (6 beads) 2 Lj (SR2) 1 + (last Vlp) 1 Lj (SR3) 4 Lj base of tail fin T & C

Hang each fish from the finding by one of the mouth picots
