Never did get my ring back. Just can't take to the 'new' one. Maybe one day we will be re-united - the ring and I. Good title for a musical ?????

Now Frankie was a doggy Of quite considerable size White of fur and pink of skin Blue and dark brown eyes
He gave off many an odour From his 'operating' ends Some of halitosis Others more pooee trends
He looked upon the sofa As his own territory A place to sleep and slumber Free from hostility
Well the sofa came quite smelly From Frankie's body pong John cried out, "I've had enough" "It's been going on too long"
"DOWN" He called to Frankie "Your comfort is no more" "In future you must spend your time" "Upon our homestead floor"
Now Frankie felt dejected He gave that mournful gaze What sort of future beckons No sofa for to laze?
John felt so elated A human victory He smiled - quite broadly - smugly And turned to wife Marie
"You see my dear companion" "That's how to handle a mutt" "Tough of mind and firm of hand" "It's clear, quite open and shut"
"Show them who is boss" "Show them to their place" "Show them they don't rule the roost" "Show them the master race"
"I will not weaken to a dog" "My re-solve is complete" "I let him see who's in control" "Who has the higher seat"
Frank's eyes were well directed At John's ageing organs of sight Posing the burning question "WHERE SHALL I SLEEP TONIGHT?"
John's heart began to weaken His beater controlled his head "Oh, well alright Francois" "You can sleep on mum and dad's bed!!!"
