Auntie Vi and Uncle Joe Came to the Isle of Skye Holiday was what they need See Cuillin Mountains high
Lochs and glens and rivers cool Sheep and deer too Eagle flying ever so high Sky so bluer than blue
To stay with nephew Jonnie And his lovely wife Marie Not forgetting their doggie Slobbering scratching Frankie
Now Auntie Vi was quite eager To exercise twice every day A walk from kitchen to garage Twenty yards, or so, I'd say
She'd call out to slumbering Frankie "Why don't you walk with me?" Frankie so pleased at the prospect Bounced, wagged his tail with glee
Out they went from the kitchen Frankie leading the way Thinking how very fortunate "Could be out for the day!"
Arriving at garage so quickly No more than 10 seconds or so Aunt Vi declared fatiguedly "Well this is as far as I go"
Well Frankie was totally gobsmacked Though he never knew of this state He looked at his aunt in amazement As she turned, walking with tired gait
Back to the kitchen door she went Frankie just stood and hovered "Wake me up for a walk like that" "I wish you hadn't of bothered!"
Now Auntie Vi felt so pleased She'd walked the dog for John A couple of hours sleep now She'll be ready for another one
Frankie lay down in the sun Disappointed at his walk Trying to sleep so peacefully Then - AUNT VI BEGAN TO TALK!!!!!
"I've taken Frankie for his stroll" "I think I've tired him out" "Tomorrow if the weathers fine" "We'll do a different route"
Now Frankie kept his eyes shut Pretending not to hear Thinking "Walks like that I can do without" "Just let me sleep Aunt dear!!"
So Aunt Vi did her walkies Twice, at least, each day Frankie raised his head and looked But in the sun he'd stay
Reserving all his energy For his forest walk with dad Aunt Vi started talking - again "WELL THE WEATHERS NOT SO BAD…...
