Why people don’t read web pages?
nReading from computer screens is tiring for the eyes and 25% slower than paper
nUsers want to be active not passive consumers they feel that they have to move on and click on things
nClick! They're gone!  Each page has to compete with hundreds of millions of other pages for the user's attention. 2/3 seconds and no more 6 secs at most
nNew and experienced web users scan the same way. At first from left to right, as if reading a book. But then quickly change to the center–left–right sequence.
