MARTEC
have the instrumentation and capability to conduct both airborne (speech,
television etc.) and impact (footfall) tests in accordance with the
requirements of Approved Document E of The Building Regulations, i.e.
BS.2750 for airborne and impact noise measurements and BS.5821 for rating
the measurements and producing the single figure ratings of DnTw and L'nTw.
Advice is given on remedial works, if required; such as optimum construction of floating floors, dry lining of walls and so on. Reverberation time analysis enables investigation into room acoustics for optimum listening conditions in halls, social clubs, schools and music venues.
