Brobed Stils Current Line Up (2004) :

Brodie Mauluka : Lead guitar and vocals
Brodie has been a member of a number of top bands in his native
countries of Zimbabwe and Malawi.
Playing in the top stadiums and hotels, as well as being voted one of the
most popular singers in Malawi on a number of occasions.
A fantastic guitarist together with his trademark, warm and gritty vocals,
He has been a gigging musician since the late sixties. A loveable and
charismatic character, who knows how to entertain a crowd!

Stuart Jebbitt : Bass guitar and vocals
A classically trained pianist and singer, ex singer of No Excuses and
ex bass player of the London based indie rock band, Little Stabs of Happiness.
Stuart has been a semi pro musician since 1991. Uncharacteristically extrovert
for a bass player, a little wacky, he loves to jump about a bit and not take things
too seriously! Stuart is descended from a 13th Century cattle thief!!
(you can check his genealogy site at www.moonroller.com/jebbitt)

Phil Mansfield : Drums and backing vocals
A very talented drummer and percussionist,
who has toured the united states as well as Italy (he is half Italian).
He has recently invested in a new drum kit -
even bigger than the last one if that were possible!

Ron Leeson: Keyboards
The deceptively youthful keyboard wizard has been playing in bands
since the 60s. A most welcome addition to the Brobed line-up,
he can produce anything from a growling Hammond, Rocking Piano,
or a Steel band!

Stuart Rost : Deputy Drummer
Stuart is our regular deputy drummer.
After starting out as the drummer in No Excuses
he went on to play in a number of popular local bands
including Chinwag and Moonroof.

Dominic Bon da Souza Pernes: Saxophone
A very experienced and busy musician who endeavours to play as many
of the Brobed gigs as his diary allows.
Dominic is an ex- member of the seventies band ‘Goldie’
who had a big hit single ‘Making up again (after breaking up again)’
(ask your mum!). He's the only band member whose appeared
on 'Top of the Pops', not to mention being a centrefold in 'Jackie' magazine!

We always love to see him as he is one of the most outrageous
and funny characters you’ll ever meet.
A great story teller and a lovely bloke.

Gone but not forgotten.......

Andy Leeson : Rhythm, Lead and Slide Guitar
Andy played slide guitar in Brobed between 1999-2003. He's excellent slide
playing can be heard of the 'Good Intent' CD.

Kris Bediacko - Lead Guitar
Probably one of the best guitarists ever to come out of Ghana,
Kris decided to leave the band at the end of 1998 to pursue
his own African influenced rock compositions.
Perfoming with his own band, Alien Culture,
he appeared at WOMAD. He is now involved in drumming workshops for
kids. Kris stills comes and guests with Brobed from time to time and these
special gigs are worth looking out for.
