There are numerous historic sites all around the area. Only a short drive to the scene of the famed Massacre of Glencoe set amidst spectacular mountain scenery. The monument to the famous Appin Murder, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped" is situated on the hillside immediately behind Ardno house. To this day the Killing of the Red Fox in 1752, remains one of Scotland's most notorious unsolved murders.

How to find us

Ardno House is easy to find, situated beside the red telephone box on the A828 Oban road one mile south of the Ballachulish Bridge, between Glencoe and Appin.
