Avon Youth League - Guidelines

A 100 years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove .... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child  anon

“Football is not a matter of life and death, it is far more important than that”Bill Shankly - Liverpool FC manager in some of their most successful years.

If you read both of the above statements you have some idea of how important I feel that the world of football can be in the development of our young people in the challenging world in which we live.Football is a team game which can teach youngsters how to communicate with and value the support of their team mates. They can experience the joys of victory and the lessons in defeat and benefit from both in equal measure. It is OUR responsibility to ensure that they can practice their chosen sport in as safe an environment as possible. To help you do just that I have posted below the document which every coach, club official, referee, League Officer and anyone else who comes into contact with children within our league has read and signed on to the principles of.

  • IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE IT - GO AHEAD.
