| Gran Turismo | This is one of the best games of all time!!!!!! This is definitely the most realistic console racing game ever. The replays just look so great. There's loads of cars to choose from and the good thing is most of the cars are just based on the road going versions. Both game modes (arcade and simulation) are absolutely brilliant. Can't wait for the sequel and also Gran Turismo on the Playstation 2. |
| Driver | This game is just brilliant. In the game you play an undercover officer and you have to work for gangsters in order to gain info. There are three cities to drive recklessly around. The last mission is way to hard, but I still managed to complete it, after a few hours. |
| Resident Evil 2 | The inhabitants of Racoon City turn into zombies and your character has to find a way out of the city and also to find out what is going on. The good thing is that you get to blow away zombies/creatures with weapons like rocket launchers, magnum, shotgun, sub machine gun, flame thrower, etc. There are quite a number of puzzles to solve as well. The plot for the game is actually quite good and its also got some great cinematic sequences. |
| Pete Sampras: Extreme Tennis | Although this is quite an old game, but it's probably the best tennis game on the PSX. It's fairly realistic and there is even a two player option. The tournament mode is just brilliant. |
| Bushido Blade | This is a brilliant beat 'em up game set in a few massive play areas. In this game you get weapons and aim to kill your opponents. It's possible for the characters to get injured. Unlike other beat 'em ups this game is a little more realistic because if you get slashed or stabbed in vital areas then you would die. There are quite a few different modes to play. |
| Tomb Raider III | This is an absolutely brilliant game. It takes bloody ages to complete any Tomb Raider games. The controls and user interface is just brilliant. Of course the game would be full of puzzles to solve. In this installment, Lara has at least one new move. |
| Soul Blade | This beat 'em up is just brilliant, the graphics are incredible. The special moves are fairly spectacular. The moves for the characters are quite easy to remember. There are just so many game modes and it would take absolutely ages to complete it. It's also very good value for money as well. Checkout the sequel: Soul Caliber (it's on the PC and Dreamcast by the way). |
| Silent Hill | This is a wonderful Resident Evil style game. This is just a brilliant game. |
| Dino Crisis | From the makers of the Resident Evil series, Dino Crisis is very similar game to Resident Evil. Your character is sent to an island to find out what is going on in a secret research lab and the whole place is littered with dinosaurs. |
| Tony Hawk's: Extreme Skateboarding | This game is just extremely fun and addictive. The graphics are pretty good as well. |
