PRAYER GROUP – The Prayer Group will not be meeting in the Small Hall for the next two weeks as they will be participating in the Life in the Spirit Seminars (as advertised below).  The Group will resume as usual in the Small Hall on Wed 6^th June.

Westbourne Orchestra

23^rd June, Annunciation

The orchestra will again be performing a concert in the Annunciation Church on 23^rd June.  Admission will be by programme on the door at a cost of £5.00 or £4.00 concession for senior citizens or students.  Families will be admitted for £10.00.  Highlights of the concert will be ‘Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach  Dvorak’s G Major Symphony  No. 8, Sibelius’ Finlandia  and Bach’s Concerto in D Minor for 2 violins.  For more details see flyers in both churches.The orchestra are keen to enlist a volunteer to aid them in selling Programmes at the door and  CDs’ and car stickers at the concert.  All proceeds after expenses will go towards church funds.  If you can help please contact Victor King on 01202 701759 or Brenda Sidebotham on 01794 514008.

St Edmund Campion Spring Fayre

Due to the wonderful support of the parish, the Spring Fayre was very successful both socially and financially.   The total raised was £1052.40.

Thanks to all those who prepared the Fayre or  were stallholders on the day.

Due to the generosity of the parishioners we have enough jumble to hold another Jumble Sale on 2^nd June.  Helpers needed to prepare on Friday 1^st at 2.00 pm and Stallholders on the day at 2.00 pm.

TAIZE ECUMENICAL PILGRIMAGE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

11^th – 20^th August

Young people from the churches within the Portsmouth R C Diocese and Anglican Dioceses (age 16-30) are invited by the Taize Community in France to live with them for a week, experiencing community life with young Christians from all parts of Europe and beyond.  Cost will be approximately £165.00 to include full board, travel and travel insurance.  50 places.  Please contact Karina Green on 023 9282 2953
