| Young people from
Christchurch's Sunday School "Rocky's Kids" and
The Pathfinders Church Youth Group had an eventful end of
May sleeping under canvas at Carroty Wood Nr Hadlow Kent.
Despite the appalling weather a very enjoyable slippery
muddy and wet time was had by all whilst they learnt
about the difficult task of being one of Jesus' disciples. Learning was made fun by basing events around the Toy Story 2 plot and characters. Although some of the children were only 9 they all took it in turns to do their chores. Everyone was able to participate in a wonderful evening service given to the parents who visited on the Sunday. This included a live band, singing, bible readings and drama all prepared by the children and a couple of favourite songs performed by some of the younger "Rocky's Kids" who were also visiting. |
| The youngsters were also able to swim and attempt the assault course at the venture site and some took an impromptu dip in the swamp followed shortly by a good hosing down! |
