Once able to
leave the nest, they learned in stages about getting
around their 'home'. This one reached the top of the palm
pot, but didn't relish jumping off. An old cork tray was
the easier option, though with some hesitation.

Do I really have to slide all that
way to join dad? I could swear he was appealing to his
friendly human, who just happened to be kneeling down
ready to catch small pigeon's efforts to extricate
himself from the predicament of what goes up doesn't
always want to come down.

route for a pair of young pigeons answering father's call
to stop lounging about in plant pots and get down to some
lessons every pigeon needs to learn.

the neighborhood. And to see it, what we're going to do
today is fly. Yes, that's right - fly! We pigeons do a
lot of it, so you better start taking notice of your dad.
What? Scared of heights? What kind of pigeon are you?
