About Me
Born in
Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, I was educated at the local schools and
Hereford Technical College. After completing an engineering
apprenticeship with the Post Office Engineering Department, (now
British Telecomm) I attended Liverpool University and graduated with an
Honours degree in Electronics in 1972.
I then worked for various companies and organisations in the UK as an
electronics engineer specialising in Telecommunications and
microprocessor systems. I returned to Ross-on-Wye in 1984 and became
involved with local amateur dramatic groups as a sound
designer/operator. Take a look at the Previous
Productions page to see the list of over 80 plays and
musicals I have been involved with.
More recently I have taken early retirement and am now
able to devote more time pursuing my interest in the creative use of
technology in performance art. I have been using computers for
generating sound and music effects for over 5 years and have
experience of controlling small theatre lighting rigs.
If you think I can help with your project, be it dance, music or drama, please contact me.
