Margaret Ann on the 1871 Census is living with her family, her father William and mother Mary Ann(nee Pearson) at Guide Post, Annsley(possibly meant to be Ainsley) Building. She has a brother, Joseph, aged 8 and two sisters, Hannah aged 5 and Ellen aged 1 year. On the 1881 Census the family have moved to Choppington, next to the Mackays, Margaret, now aged 13 has another brother George W. aged 6 and two more sisters, Jane aged 3 and Isabella aged 4 months. There is no mention of Ellen who would now be 11, so she was either away that day or she died young.

Margaret Ann became a Domestic Servant prior to her marriage age 20.

I have not been able to establish when Margaret Ann died but I think she is on a photograph with dad as a boy so at the earliest it would be 1930.
