The Intimate Sphere is a psychology/psychoanalysis term to describe the vibrational sphere of the individual, what the individual perceives as proximity, his private space, his Intimate space. Another name for it could be the Aura. It's the parameter in which vibrational exchange with others starts to take place. Thinking of that title in relation to a view of the earth, brought to me how effervescent in exchange and constant vibrational interaction life on our planet is. It seemed to me that Earth is indeed The Intimate Sphere. The music on the album was composed on the circular, mantric form, finding it's stability and equilibrium in the constant rotation of sequences, linearity being represented only by a very stretched melody, symbolising the arrow of time... The piece called Tourniquet is named after its rotational quality. It's what composers have called music of the spheres, this repetitive motion which establishes by its cadence a rhythmical equilibrium, defining life as we know it.
