Derek's Blog: A Geek's life with, and now without, Cancer This started out as a test in January 2005. A bit of exploring finding out how blogs worked by actually creating one. Then, in September 2005, I was diagnosed with tonsil cancer and this became the most useful communication tool I have. I still write mostly for myself and to express myself. But also to be able to go back and watch the evolution and changes I've been through. I'm not a cancer victim. Every day I wake up and get on with the rest of my life I'm a cancer survivor!
