Hello there, Good news - I'm still alive! I've been very slack recently in keeping up with my correspondence, for which I must apologise. In my defence, it is important to remember that I have been very lazy lately. The highlight of my cricket calendar so far was a trip to Windsor on Sunday for a match against the Royal Household. We played on a ground in Windsor Great Park, next to the castle, with a couple of large oak trees 20 yards inside the boundary. The match was an exciting draw, with the Royal Household needing a six off the last ball to win, but only getting a single. There was a pavilion which was built so that King George V could watch the cricket, a trophy cabinet including a bat donated by Bob Hawke, and Prince Edward and his fiancee Sophie Rhys Jones wandered past when we were in the field. Sensational. Catch you soon, Bob |
