Trawlers - Grimsby Docks
This composite picture consists of three different trawlers actually located in different docks. I started with the one on the right and realising the dock looked a bit empty with only one boat, I moved to another dock nearby and found the centre one. The picture still looked a bit sparse, so off I went again, this time to the repair dock and found the orange boat. This one is actually used as a rescue boat for the North Sea oil rigs, cruising around them for a month at a time! Thus the bright orange colour - easy to find. By now the dock looked full and balanced the picture nicely.
Quite a large watercolour - 24" x 18" . Stretched 300gm paper mounted on drawing board.
