Paradise Lagoon

A flight of fancy. A get-away-from-it-all type picture! Here I have put a dream into visible form. A simple, quickly executed watercolour.  Never having been to such a place I have had to rely upon my imagination in order to flesh out my dream holiday.  Perhaps there is such a place - who knows?  It doesn't really matter when one indulges in fantasy.  That's the beauty of painting, the world is your oyster - all you have to do is let your thoughts roam and apply the result to paper or canvas.  Anyone can do it!

Picture size approx. 18" x 15" watercolour on 190gm paper, prestretched on board before lightly sketching in the scene and laying on the first washes of colour.
