Classic Traction Action! Volume One
It features a
magnificent array of motive power including three different
Deltics all working on the main line, with plenty of traction
action and many unusual workings. Filmed: 26/09/1998, 22/05/1999,
and 03/03/2000. Loco classes featured: 31, 37, 47, 55, 58, 59, 60,
66, 73, 86, 87, 90, 91 and 92. (Also featured are: Heritage DMU,
Bubble Cars and some ‘Slam Door’ stock). Steam is represented
by 35028 as 35017 Belgian Marine, and 35016 Bodmin. Locations
visited: Willesden Junction, Mitre Bridge by Old Oak Common signal
box, Wandsworth Road, Kensington Olympia, Reading, Harringay,
Finsbury Park, Bletchley, Euston, Kings X, Victoria, Cromwell Road
on the West London Line and Clapham Junction.
Exceptional footage includes: D9000 hauling the final 1V64
Birmingham to Ramsgate XC at Mitre Bridge and returning with the
1S64 Ramsgate to Birmingham adorned with the ‘Thistle’
headboard, arriving at a packed Kensington Olympia and making a
spirited departure from Reading, Doubleheaded freightliner 47s on
the Trafford Park – Grain, T’n’t 47s on the Penzance –
Waterloo sleeper ecs, 37212 and 37238 on Mercia Tours ‘The
Shapeshifter’, 58045 on Mercia Tours ‘The Shapeshifter’,
35028 Clan Line masquerading as 35017 Belgian Marine hauling the
