83. James Sutherland Chisholm of Chisholm XXVII was born on 9 Jul 1806. He resided Marchhall, Duddington, Edinburgh in Apr 1881.⁽²⁾ He died on 28 May 1885 in Erchless Castle.

He was married to Ann Cecilia MacDonnell (daughter of Angus MacDonnell) on 13 Nov 1861 in Upper Canada. Ann Cecilia MacDonnell was born in 1833. She died on 21 Sep 1905. James Sutherland Chisholm of Chisholm XXVII and Ann Cecilia MacDonnell had the following children:

95 iii. Louisa Jane Chisholm of Chisholm was born on 2 Jun 1865. She died on 23 May 1874.
96 iv. Augustus James Chisholm was born on 6 Jun 1866. He died on 13 Apr 1867.
97 v. MacDonald Chisholm was born on 13 Apr 1867. He died Infancy.
98 vi. Annie Margaret Chisholm of Chisholm was born on 3 Nov 1868 in Portobello, Edinburgh.⁽²⁾ She died on 23 Sep 1935.
