"Eh?"
Frequently Asked Questions
What the hell is the Goonie Show all about?
The Goonie Show is an on-line, ever-growing campaign to bring long deserved fame and global recognition to the ultimate goon, the Gooniest goon of them all.
At the end of this year, 1999, Goonie will have somehow managed to survive the first three decades of his life. All things considered, this is one hell of an achievement and one which shouldn't go unnoticed by the world at large. Goonie would truly be one in a billion, although, since he often isn't 'all there' he isn't quite a full 'one' in the first place. This makes him even rarer still.
On Goonie's thirtieth birthday, he will be presented with this web-site (which he currently knows nothing about whatsoever) and will finally be able to bask in the international fame which he has never bothered to pursue himself. You can help the campaign to succeed by spreading the word to the world.
Why do they call him Goon?
This is one of those question that if you have to ask you'll probably never get it. Just look at the photographs at the top and bottom of this page and then try to work it out for yourself. If you still need help, Vincent Gallo once let him know the answer - hit play to hear what he had to say
Where can I see pictures of Guinea Pigs?
Try looking at someone's small but pleasing selection of photographs of Tweed the Guinea Pig.
What Goonie merchandise is there available?
As yet Goonie has never had his face on a postage stamp, bumper sticker, flag or on any form of legal tender, nor has he ever had a street, hospital wing or banquet hall named after him.
The Goonie Show aims to put this right as soon as possible and flood the market with all kinds of Goonie memorabilia that will make the Phantom Menance campaign look like a half-hearted missed opportunity. For now, you can buy a t-shirt, mouse mat and a couple of mugs from the Official Goonie Show Merchandise Store.
Do you have any samples of frog noises?
No, but you can find a large selection of frog noises here.
What has all this got to do with Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan and Harry Seacombe?
Absolutely nothing, this is the Goonie Show not the Goon Show. If you want information about the Goons, you'll have to look elsewhere.
I have to meet Goonie, how can it be arranged?
During daylight hours Goonie (aka 'The Lie-In King') seldom pokes his nose out of his bed-covers and so is a hard goon to pin down.
HIs band, Speed Boat, occasionally play in and around Brighton, Sussex, UK. See the Goonie Tunes section for more details. This is probably your best bet to see the goon in full swashbuckling-swing.
