Unlike many player polls, we started ours at the beginning of the season and let it run throughout the season. Fans could vote for between one and six player (one in each category) once every month if they wanted to. In this way it's not the player who had a good end to the season that would get the votes, but one who was consistent. We split them into 6 categories with an option in each entitled Player needed in this position (with suggestion). There were about 800 votes in each player section.
