Multimatic
The Multimatic spin feeder is an innovative design. Feed is automatically batch weighed within each individual unit using a simple, reliable mechanical balance scale. The unit comprises of a galvanised storage hopper, multi-rotor aluminium disc, gearmotor and counter balance scale.

Operation
A supply auger fills the hopper through a valve. The counter balance weigh system built into the spin feeder continuously checks the weight of feed in the hopper. When the pre-set weight is achieved the scale mechanism automatically trips and the valve is closed. The supply auger then passes feed onto the next unit on the system. When the last unit is filled the supply auger is stopped. At feeding time the gearmotor unit at the bottom of each hopper is switched on and the multi rotor distributes the feed evenly as a shower of up to 16m (53ft) diameter. Multiple impellors on different planes ensure an even spread pattern and low pellet collision to minimises pellet breakage.
The feeding can be controlled automatically by time clock with all spinners running simultaneously.
Birds may be reared in pens with dedicated spinners within each pen able to feed different weights of feed.
