ENTRY FEES

Open/Major/Intermediate:

In advance (by post): £13.00

Minor:

In advance (by post): £10.00

Entries on day (come by 10.00 if you can): £3 extra

Discounts: Juniors (U18): £1.50

RJCC Members/Parents: £1.50

Please note that we do not accept entries by telephone. Please ring if you have to withdraw. Withdrawals will be credited for the next tournament.

PRIZE MONEY

Open:

£100, £75,

Major/Intermediate:

£75, £50

Minor:

£50, £40, £30

With the exception of the top prizes in the Open and U11s in the Minor, ungraded players may only win 33% of the prize money. Except for special prizes no player may win more than one prize.

If the number of players in any section exceeds 16 (24 in the Minor) extra prizes and/or grading prizes (U195/U140/U100) will be awarded.

The Event Organisers reserve the right to refuse entries without reason, or to transfer players to a higher section at any point during the Event.

 

 

 

 

RATE OF PLAY

All moves within 30 minutes/player

The latest BCF Rapidplay Rules will apply.

LATE ARRIVAL

Players arriving more than 15 minutes late for a round will be defaulted and their opponents re-paired if possible.

DISPUTES

All matters of dispute will be referred to the Chief Controller, whose decision shall be final.

GRADING

All games will be BCF Rapid Play graded. The grading fee is included in the entry fee. BCF direct members may reclaim £1 from their entry fee (after Round 4 on display of membership card).

BOOKSTALL

VENUE

The White House Community Association is situated adjacent to Sainsbury's in The Avenue, in the Nurserylands area of Hampton. By car via M3 and/or A316 to first junction east of junction 1 M3 signposted Hanworth, then south on Nallhead road, east along Main Street, south along Green Lane leading into Oak Avenue, then east along Broad Lane, finally north into The Avenue. There is ample car parking on the site. By rail via Hampton Station then by foot (10-15 minute walk) west to level crossing then north along Percy Road with Hampton Junior School on your right leading into The Avenue, or by 111 bus. By Underground, take the Piccadilly Line to Hounslow East, then the 111 bus, or the District Line to Richmond (less frequent), then the R70 bus. The 111 bus (from Heathrow, Hounslow and Kingston) and the R70 bus (from Richmond and Twickenham) both stop outside the venue.
