For the first time for several years Richmond entered a team in the EPSCA U11 Girls Inter-Area Championship.
Our young and inexperienced team did very well to finish 7th out of 12, just half a point away from 4th place.
Our top boards found life tough but we scored heavily lower down and among the reserves.
As we suspected, all our players were very much the same strength.
Unlike our open teams, the girls team, as you will see, did better in every round!
Many thanks to Alison and Julia Rennie and Vaughan Evans for running the team, and congratulations to Wey Valley-Surrey on yet another convincing victory in this event.
