John Ellerton could never have envisaged the Internet when he wrote these words 150 years ago. But we need to grasp his vision of the worldwide church militant here on earth. And the Internet is one way of getting information and encouraging prayer that can help us fulfill His call to each one of us.
The links page on an Internet site can often be the most useful page of all as it helps us discover treasure buried out there deep in cyberspace. But I found compiling this page incredibly difficult. What should I include? What should I leave out? These links are just a few of the useful links out there. If they don’t give you the answer directly, their linked pages might. Although we are not aware of any problems from accessing the sites neither CDF nor myself can take any responsibility their content or problems arising from their use. Christian Medical Fellowship (CMF) UK The UK Medical equivalent of CDF. Excellent site with information on ethical issues of cloning, abortion, sexuality and sanctity of life particularly relevant to UK scene. Free MEDLINE. A medical thought for the day called A Doctor’s lifeline. Excellent links and excerpts from Triple Helix and the Student journal Nucleus. Bookmark the page!
MMA Healthserve was the Medical Missionary Association, one of the oldest missionary organisations in the UK. Aims to help Christian healthcare professionals to get out into the mission field, through the provision of information, advice and other resources.
International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA) A worldwide group with similar aims to CDF

MISSION

Mission involves us all in a partnership to share the good news in word and deed at home and abroad. CDF has always seen this as a priority. These links are only a small sample but they can link you to information and resources to use in your local ministry.
CMF Evangelism homepage www.cmf.org.uk/ has many helpful sections on presenting the gospel. How to share the gospel with patients, the evidence for belief in Jesus. The Greatest Person, is a cogent presentation of the life of Christ by a Christian doctor.
Church Mission Society Good site about CMS including ‘YES’ magazine. This link takes you straight to the excellent link page to other sites and organisations on mission

The evidence based and education links are important with the introduction of compulsory Continuous Professional Development. British National Formulary On-line continuously updated Formulary plus access to all drug data sheets. You have to register (free). Also has the list of drugs you may prescribe in Dental Practitioners Formulary.
Evidence-based site looking at a wide range of common medical conditions (and some dental) and effectiveness of current treatments. Its racy debunking style is a delight. It is feared by vested interests and drug firms!
Patient UK is a really useful but not so well-known directory of UK websites that provide information on health, disease and illness. Edited by two GPs to list the most reputable and reliable sources of UK health on most major health problems . Links to patient help groups.
