Sarah begun an acting career in television commercials. The career was launched on an advertisment for Burger King, claiming that they were bigger than McDonalds. There were child acting appearences in films such as Over the Brooklyn Bridge in 1984, and Funny Farm in 1988. They helped to fast-track her to bigger television roles. She won an emmy award for a part on a daytime drama, All My Children, at the age of 17.
Now she lives in a luxurious home in Los Angeles from the highly paid filming seasons of the Buffy the vampire Slayer series which can last up to 9 months each. She is already well known for her success in I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 2 and is continuing to star in newer films such as Cruel Intentions.
On March 10, 1998, Sarah won a Blockbuster Entertainment Award in the Best Supporting Actress for the Horror category for her role in I Know What You Did Last Summer. Despite not having a holiday for 4 years she has no plans to make changes to her workload.
