Landing
I'm convinced that her eyes are shut in this one!! As you can see she likes to give her fences lots of room.
Hmmmm, infact that'll explain why a got a double clear and came sixth in the 2'9'' class the other weekend! We were *horrendous* in the jump-off (both our first one ever) - all over the shop! She kept on taking off a stride after I expected her to, so I went infront of, then suddenly behind the movement everytime! I'm sure it was mostly down to me because I wasn't sitting up enough between fences and making her nervous. We even managed to hit a plant pot thing at one point (I was getting lost). She hit it with a bang, so I immediately looked down to make sure her leg was still on, only to find once I had looked up that the double was right infront of us!!! ARRGGHHH!! I had 0% reins at this point, and being far too stubborn to circle away like most sane people - I just sat and let April do her worst. Of course she jumped it without a problem (got abit close to the second element though coz she was going abit fast)! By the last fence (a wall), I had got it back together again, and managed to sit up and keep with her. Phew!
