Phillip: Phillip Miller

Phillip was first seen around episode 11 of the 1996 series of Byker Grove. He was first introduced as Terraise's newspaper delieverer who angered her by defacing a free poster of a pop group that came with a magazine. He later apologised to her and admitted that he only did it as a protest against girls who like a group for their looks rather than their musical talents.

Phillip was taken to the Grove by Terraise to meet Geoff, but he was followed by a Goat which they named Gruff and kept at the Grove. However Jack became jealous that Phillip and Gruff distracted Terraise's attention and arranged for Gruff to be taken away by a "farmer" unrealising that he was actually from a Slaughter House! Geoff, Jack, Phillip and Terraise moved quicly and managed to save Gruff although Gruff was killed in the Racist attack on the Grove the following episode.

Jack and Phillip forgot their differences and arranged to be the Gallagher brothers in the "Stars inYour Eyes" competition at the Grove. Unfortunately their first rehersal was "hindered" after Jack and Phillip became drunk after drinking the alcohol stashed by Alfie and Ed.

In 1997 Flora decided it was time for saintly behaviour and gave £20 to Phillip as a token of her new generousity as his mother had lost her job with the council. However, Flora soon learned that Phillip's mother's job had been saved and collaborated with Anna to create the "Little Treasures" prank on Jack, Terraise and Phillip, to punish them for their lies and greed.

Jack and Phillip became co-managers of an all-girl group they wished to manage at the Grove, however Phillip's ideas on management caused offence and their career in the music industry was short-lived.

Phillip will be returning to our screens in Series 10 due to be shown in Autumn 98.
