A WB400 Receiver of the type installed in the Armathwaite ROC post. This particular instrument was in the Bristol 18 Group.
It would be switched on continuously, emitting a quiet 'tick'. Instructions would bellow forth as appropriate regarding 'Attack Warning Red', Fall-Out Warning Black' or 'Attack Message White'.
