THE SEA-WALL AND REMAINS OF THE 'ZAA' BATTERY MAGAZINE

A tumultuous high tide batters the sea-defence wall, bathed in the golden light of a late-january afternoon, spewing waves over the probable remains of the 'ZAA' magazine (floor section, look beneath the 'RNLI' sign). I imagine searchlight operation - of which the southern position was just past the far-end of this wall - might have been a somewhat damp occupation at times....
